THE HENGST or UFI filters are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE- the exsct same situation exists on on Chevy Trax, Sonic, andCruze models.

So GM, to keep the price down does the exact WORST thing for the consumer. They could have made the better engine STANDARD and economies of scale would make it perhaps a $100 increase in the base price. First make it impossible to get, then stop offering it because no one even knows about it. The take rate was tiny, and then GM DISCONTINUED THE IPTIONAL ENGINE.
